A month ago today was the day that Grandon called and told me that the doctors diagnosed him with leukemia. The Lord has carried us through every single day and now Grandon is almosttt done with his first phase of treatment!
This morning Grandon had a bone marrow biopsy, and right now he is getting a lumbar puncture. After the bone marrow biopsy he said, “they (the doctors) warned me the pain can be unbearable sometimes, but I felt no pain the entire time thank you Jesus!” : ) I am just picturing Jesus in the room with Grandon during that procedure protecting him and strengthening him the entire time- because that’s exactly what happened <3
The biopsy he had a month ago today was the one that revealed the leukemia, and we are praying that the one he had today will reveal remission! When Grandon was hugging me goodbye after my visit about a week ago, he said in full faith and with a smile, “next time you see me I’ll be cancer free.”
As my roomie/bestie Olivia says, we are now waiting on the report of the Lord. The waiting is so hard and scary sometimes, but when I remember the “of the Lord” part I feel so much peace.
Thank you for continuing to pray for Grandon with me! Text him some encouragement today! (331) 227-0064
Lots of love,
Lizzy
