Hi and happy Saturday!
I wanted to take a moment to update you on Grandon’s progress this week. On Tuesday, he began his immunotherapy treatment. Unfortunately, as some of you may have heard, he quickly ended up in the hospital due to unexpected neurological side effects. It was a lot to process, and a very scary moment for all of us.
The doctors acted fast, and by the next morning, Grandon had regained full cognitive function. They slowly reintroduced his treatment, and last night, he was able to return home from the hospital!
As someone who tends to overthink and get caught up in both “best case” and “worst case” scenarios (and yes, I google them—definitely don’t recommend), it’s been especially difficult with Grandon so far away and in a situation I don’t fully understand. Thank goodness that God’s peace is not dependent on my understanding. (Philippians 4:7) His peace has surpassed all understanding this week and has truly guarded my heart and mind.
